The 'Flying Solo' range flies in the face of convention, shunning international varieties in favour of the typical Grenache grape which forms its backbone, blended with Syrah, Viognier or Cinsault respectively. It celebrates the intrepid Aéropostale pilots who risked life and limb to ensure postal services in the 1920s.
Made from 85% Grenache Blanc, 15% Viognier from vineyards in Minervois with Limestone terraces with clay. Pneumatic press, cold fermentation and ageing on lees in stainless steel tanks before blending and sterile filtration prior to bottling.
Tasting Note: Brilliant pale yellow colour with silver highlights. The nose opens with fresh aromas of pear and white flowers such as almond blossom. The palate is ripe and generous, with flavours of pearand white peach, underpinned by delicate acidity. It finishes is slightly bitter, with hints of grapefruit zest, offering freshness and balance.
