A New World spirit has been breathed into this range of single varietal, high-tech wines that remain firmly rooted in their Languedoc homeland. Syrah and Sauvignon, the improbable confrontation of grape varieties and wine profiles, symbolise Domaine Gayda’s origins and the fusion of two worlds, Old and New.
From Minervois (Limestone terraces with clay). Winemaking: Pneumatic pressing - Cold fermentation - Maturation on fine lees and aged on fine lees in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting Note: A pale yellow colour with light silvery highlights, offering excellent brilliance and impeccable clarity. The nose is lively and fresh, revealing aromas of ripe yellow lemon, aniseed and fennel that are characteristic of Mediterranean Sauvignons. On the palate, total harmony, with a perfect continuity of aromas. The wine is very lively, with straightforward tension dominated by citrus fruit. The attack is round and the structure lively. The long, tangy finish is marked by lingering notes of lime zest.
