Needs time to breath but eventually opens up well
For years now I have been buying Boutinot Coteaux Cotes du Rhone from the VINEKING. It is really tasty and reliable and family and friends always compliment it on its fine taste and slightly fuller body. Thoroughly recommended and excellent value.
My favourite by far! Incredibly smooth and great with tonic or in cocktails!
Great evening tasting wines, catching up with the Vineking Team and enjoying wines with other people.
Nevertheless it was an excellent evening with a good, eclectic, range of wines on offer. My favourite Tables, were bits of
Table 1 (esp Gremellet Champagne and the Vina Robles Petit Syrah -not dissimilar in style from the Amarone on Table 5 but smoother and half the price!,
Table 3 (the Chateau Neuf du Pape Blanc Chante Cigale, the Coteaux Schisteux Seguret (the Cote Sauvage Cairanne was also very nice - almost but a bit like a Rioja due to the heavy use of new barrels, and the Fleur Solitaire Boutinot)
Table 8 (Dr Reason Why Chardonnay was superb and the Brookdale Chenin Blanc wasvery tasty - and I normally steer clear of Chenin Blanc).
I have bought a couple of bottles of the Vina Robles Petit Syrah (for me it was the star of the show ) and will be back for a couple of the others in due course.
The only "table" I really missed was the German /Austrian one (I always learn so much from the gentleman who runs it and he always has some interesting /"new to me" Reds)
I always keep an eye out for the cremant deals. This is excellent, crisp and exactly what you'd hope for. Great purchase.
A lovely mature bordeaux. We really enjoyed this with our Sunday roast last week.
Mark Irwin in the Reigate West Street store recommended this and it's one of the best I've come across and at an affordable price.
Never turn down a Vineking specialist's recommendation. They know what they're talking about.
So delicious I had to order more. A bit of a taste of apples
2018 Mabis Originale Rosso Neropasso
They call it "SSB" in the bars in Perth, WA. It's very popular there but hard to find in the UK. The colder coastal climate of the wonderful Margaret River seems to suit these varieties well, the Semillon adding some nice roundness to the dry sharpness of the Sauvignon Blanc. Making it closer to a Chardonnay.
If you like fruit-driven whites with some dryness and a bit of spice you will love this. I'm a big fan of New Zealand Pinot Gris but it's not that easy to find. Don't confuse this with Pinot Grigio!
I am no connoisseur but I know what I like and I like this very much. Soft, fruity and eminently drinkable, this has become my go-to, either with food or on its own.
Solid and very drinkable wine. Great value for money so will certainly be buying again!
As always, an interesting and enjoyable selection
I much prefer your selection to the wine I used to choose from the supermarket
Absolutely delicious and not too sweet - as non-alcoholic wines tend to be.
Very nice, easy drinking wine.
Really excited to be attending one of the Vineking’s pop up restaurants.
I will learn so much and have an amazing time. The staff at the Vineking are just brilliant. If you love great wine and you haven’t been to see them, you are missing out!
I've had this wine before and so jumped at the deal. Great purchase.
Haven’t tried the others yet. Will let you know.
Delicate on the nose .Sumptuous grapefruit with a hint of spice .Fresh clear bright colour .which upon tasting , delivers a pleasant taste on the palette , with a reasonable length , for a wine at this price point .
Super deli board , well worth the price! My husband and I shared this whilst sipping on some wonderful Les Clans purchased from Vineking. I just added grapes to the board and it was perfect. Really interesting meats and cheeses. We didn’t consume the whole board as it really is generous but my son managed to ‘help out’ and he asked if I was ordering it again soon ! So that I will do. We had a lovely night in. great movie, great munchies and great wine.
Really good service from Vineking.
Great value for money at just over a tenner. Easy to drink Pinot noir, smooth with soft notes of red fruits. Has great depth for a light red. Perfect for summer at room temperature or chilled!
