The 2019 Zagreus Winery Mavrud Reserve is a rich, complex red wine from the Thracian valley in Bulgaria, made from 100% Mavrud grapes. Mavrud is Bulgaria’s flagship black grape variety and is known as one of the most promising indigenous varieties
Tasting note: It has a dark ruby colour and features notes of dark red fruits, plum, liquorice, and dark chocolate, with balanced tannins and acidity. The wine was aged for 12 months in Bulgarian oak barrels.
