Wines on Tasting in Church Street 17.12.1

17 December 2016

This weekend we wanted to show off an exceptional wine that we think often goes overlooked on our shelves; Coyam from Emiliana. Their Riesling and Pinot Noir are two of our most popular wines, but we think it’s time to let this big blend take centre stage.

Coyam is a wine that is close to claiming iconic status. It's a blend that changes from vintage to vintage, made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenère, Syrah, Malbec and Mourvèdre and all sorts depending on which vineyard sites are producing the best grapes in any year. There's an unbelievable depth and breadth of flavour to this wine which then unravels generously on the palate. Tannins are supple and give the wine enough structure to hold up to the weight. Plus it’s got the added bonus of being certified Carbon Neutral!

We know you won’t be able to resist finishing the first bottle so why not pick up 2 for £40 (usually £24.99 per bottle)

Don’t worry, if a big meaty red isn’t your thing we’ll have plenty of other wines open as the feeling takes us. Look out for a cracking white from Northern Italy, to get you thinking about wine pairing for those festive starters!
