The white here is a Western Australian classic blend that delivers citrus and gooseberry Spring like freshness. As many of my customers know I am not a big Sauvignon fan but when blended with Semillon I think it really hits the spot.
2012 Houghton Cabernet Sauvignon Margaret River
£9.99p/b or £7.99 in a mixed 12
Well blow me down, a Margaret River Cab under a tenner. A joy when first sampled last week, this Cab is packed with plum, black berry and the hallmark Margaret River herbaceous note. All this is then polished off with a lick of vanilla and spice from the French oak maturation.
