I know I showed this last weekend but I thought it was so good that I decided it needed a wider audience, so here's another chance to try to delicious French wines.
2015 Bourgogne Chardonnay Domaine Fournillon After tasting through around a hundred samples of red and white burgundy from the '15 vintage I thought this should be the wine to show. It will just give a glimpse of the excellence of this vintage. Unoaked, this wine is all about fresh fruit flavours with a hint of the classic gun flint so often found in white Burgundy. £13.99 per bottle, 2 for £25, 6 for £70, 12 for £130
2015 Domaine Chamfort Les Patis Vin de Pays de Vaucluse A wine produced by a Portugueser who is a rising star in the Southern Rhone with his Domaine nestled below the Dentelles de Montmirail. His wines are terroir driven and this wine which has Syrah and Grenache sourced from 30 year old vines in the Vaucluse is no exception. Brimming full of red and black fruits with a peppery kick this is a little gem that should not be overlooked £11.99 per bottle, £99 for a dozen
