Folli & Benato are long-standing friends who met whilst living in England and working in the wine trade. Back in their home region, they have directed their deep-rooted passion for wine in to this project and have selected the very best parcels of wine for their collection.
The Barbera grapes for this wine are all hand-harvested to ensure only the highest quality fruit makes it into the final blend, and the juice is then fermented using locally occurring yeasts in stainless steel which preserves the fresh fruit characteristics and flavours of the final wine. This is an approachable and easy-drinking Barbera, with red-berry aromas on the nose and lashings of ripe plum and strawberry flavours on the palate. The finish is fresh and vibrant, making this a really quaffable red, perfect to be enjoyed on these wintery nights by the fire.
This would make the perfect match for the classically Piedmontese dish, Bagna Càuda, a deliciously moreish dipping dish made from garlic, anchovies and olive oil.
