The vineyards of the Petit Chablis appellation lie on either side of the river Serein, and it was given its own AOC status in 1944. It can be seen as one of the ‘jewels in the crown’ of the Chablis region and helps provide a “golden gate” to Bourgogne as a whole. Domaine Yvon & Laurent Vocoret make wines that are true to the terroir of Petit Chablis. The Vocoret family have a winemaking history dating back to 1713 and the current generation continues to produce characteristic Chablis wines with notable minerality. Laurent Vocoret, alongside his father Yvon, manages the estate with a focus on respecting the soil and grapes, employing traditional and innovative techniques to combat climate change and ensure quality.
On the nose a distinctive aroma of Chablis: herby citrus and crushed stones with minerality. On the palate, dry, stony, refined. An elegant stony/chalky texture and a long finish.
Perfect matched with seafood.
