The Javillier family, originating from Meursault many centuries ago, has always owned vineyards. In 1945 however, returning from the war, Raymond Javillier, the father of Patrick, took over the direct management of the vineyards and acquired further parcels in Meursault. Complementing this activity, Raymond Javillier worked as a wine broker on French and export markets. The Domaine grew by the acquisition of vines in the appellations of Bourgogne Blanc, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet and Pommard in the 80's and then parcels of Meursault village and 1er cru, Bourgogne Blanc and Corton-Charlemagne added in the 90's. Currently thriving, a passion for wine and gastronomy play a large role in the leisure activities of Patrick Javillier.
