Marta and Richard are looking forward to seeing as many customers in the Weybridge shop tomorrow to taste a couple of Spanish sensations.
The 2004 vintage of Roques de Porrera was rated at a mighty 94 points by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate and its quality is undeniable, tasting of tangy, black fruits with a plush texture, sweet fruit and a long finish. They only made a maximum of 500 cases but this rare beauty is available for only £15 per bottle as part of a mixed case.
Whilst the 2002 Neo sounds like the lead character from the Matrix trilogy it is in fact a project began by 3 friends aiming to produce a wine with the perfect balance between wood and fruit at the most competitive price. 2002 was a difficult vintage but scored 93 points from the wine review. It has a rich bouquet, is medium-bodied with a taste of blackcurrants and cherries and a long finish.
