A Sicilian red full of personality that really shows the hallmarks of the Nerello Mascalese grape. Planted high on Mount Etna, with its red mineral, volcanic soil— these wines at their best can be fragrant, delicate and truly thrilling, with pinot noir like character with an added spicy edge. The wine is aged for 12 months in French barriques.
Light yet powerful wine redolent of sweet candied cherries, flowers, herbs and minerals. Lovely density and purity to the fruit, with a delicious long, flint tinged finish.
