Peach, nectarines, lemon on the nose, fleshly pure white fruit on the palate and a finish that lingers and lingers. The Pinot Bianco Penon is exclusively from grapes from the Penon vineyard, which hangs over the town of Margé. There are a couple of elements making this vineyard pretty special; it’s between 2300 and 2800 ft above sea level, sheltered meaning you can get lovely long hang times, the vines are also kept in check by pretty unforgiving soil, a mix of chalk and gravel. The gravel too helps radiate heat to the tiny berries that are produced.
