Based in the heart of the Languedoc in Lezignan-Corbières, Domaines Auriol is a family-owned winery set up in 1995 by Claude Vialade. As the daughter of a former wine estate manager, wine has always been second nature to Claude. Today Domaines Auriol is a producer as well as a négociant who prides itself in its Occitan roots. Domaines Auriol is also one of the largest producer of Organic wines in the area and has been very proud of its environmental credentials for the past 25 years.
From 25km to the south of Carcassonne, nestled in the upper valley of the Aude between the Chalabrais plateau to the west and the Lecamp plateau to the east and sheltered by the Pyrenees, this appellation area encompasses 41 communities. The southern hills reserved for this appellation are covered with a combination of light and stony argilo-calcareous soils.
Tasting Note: It is known for its elegant gold colour and fine bubbles, light, fresh with floral notes finishing with hints of white flowers, citrus, almond, honey and toast.
