Greywacke was created in 2009 by Kevin Judd, an early pioneer in Marlborough winemaking whose ground-breaking wines helped put this small New Zealand region on the world wine map. The name ‘Greywacke’ was adopted by Kevin for his first Marlborough vineyard in Rapaura, nodding to the prevalence of rounded greywacke river stones in the vineyard’s soils.
This 2024 classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc shows vibrant, tropical fruit and lively acidity. Deliciously aromatic with scents of honeydew melon and orange blossom, delicately infused with herb botanicals. A bright expression of Sauvignon Blanc, with juicy lemon and steely cassis flavours and a generously textured palate garnished with a flourish of pastis and wildflowers.
A wine with impressive structure and depth. An elegant yet striking interpretation of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc - textural and opulent, lifted and lingering.
