A wonderfully exotic and lighter style of dry white, using grapes grown within sight of the azure Mediterranean. A best value Southern French dry white??? A delicious, zingy/zesty dry white with a style that just makes you smile. If you’re a Sauvignon Blanc fan, you really need to try this wine. Easy drinking and utterly delicious! Refreshingly dry and crisp it makes for delightful drinking especially on a warm summer’s day.

Vinifcation: Picked in the cool of the dawn and early evening, the Vermentino grapes are brought to the winery, sorted, and then pressed before the clear juice is settled in steel tank and chilled to clear any solids. The juice is then fermented at a cool 13 degrees for 3 weeks, with the aim to preserve the natural vibrancy, freshness and peach characters of the grape. After fermentation is finished the wine is racked through a series of tanks over several weeks to clear any lees, before a light filtration and bottling in the early spring following the harvest.

Food Match: Ideal on its own, or with summer salads. A fabulous accompaniment to all seafood, creamy chicken dishes or asparagus risotto.

Press: Wine Merchant Top 100, Highly Commended, 2025

Victoria Moore, Telegraph March 2022, “It's still possible to find good wines for less than £10 – here are 50 of the best”: “Vermentino makes for a beautifully crisp and refreshing summer aperitif. This excellent one smells of pears, lemon blossom and meadow grass.”

Vintage Reviewed: as it comes
Coquille is tremendous

Wonderful wine. Excellent recommendation by Mark at West Road Reigate and endorsed by Erik.
Gave a bottle as a present to a friend who knows a bit about wine who also commended it as excellent and really drinkable!
Well done, VineKing!
