Absolute classic light and refreshing Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Jean-Luc Mardon is the 5th generation of his family to run Domaine Pre Baron in the village of Oisly in the Touraine area. A fastidious winemaker and this certainly shows through in the quality of his wines. The estate is certified by Terra Vitis, which is a rigorous code of conduct for sustainable winemaking and covers all aspects of production from vine to bottle.
100% estate grown-fruit from 25 year-old-vines growing in sandy soils on clay subsoil. Grapes are harvested at optimum maturity after careful analysis and tasting, and are then gently pressed.
A riper style with inviting peachy fruit on the nose and peach and slightly tropical fruit notes on the palate. Full-flavoured and ripe with a fresh lingering, lemony finish.
Pair with grilled fish or a fresh goats cheese.
