Sourced from Nieto's 40 year old vineyards in Lujan de cuyo, Mendoza. 40% of the wine is aged for 6-8 months in third use French oak barrels.
Nieto has some 400 hectares of vineyards in virtually all of the best sub-districts of Mendoza from which it produces classic and modern wines characterised by the uniquely appealing balance of power and finesse that defines the best wines of the region.
Since joining the estate, winemaker Santiago Mayorga has taken the wines to another level and was named 'Young Winemaker of the Year 2017' by Tim Atkin.
Blackberry, plum fruit and sweet spice. The palate is silky and warming with more black fruit and dark cherries. The wine is vibrant with an alluring blend of fruit along with clove, pepper and cinnamon spice finished off with well-structured integrated tannins. A great wine with a fresh finish.
