We’ve been following these guys for the last decade or so. Hailing from the southern Rhone appellations of Lirac & Chateauneuf-du-Pape, they work 85 hectares organically and are moving into biodynamics under the auspices of winemaker Pascal Lafond. From the straight Cotes-du-Rhone to their sumptuous white Lirac and their rich, warm Chateauneuf-du-Pape they are really easy wines to love. As well as showing the same silky, plush fruit across the board, they genuinely strive to keep their costs down: this vineyard has always felt like a labour of love as well as a commercial producer.
A blend of Grenache Blanc 50%, Roussane 30%, Viognier 20%. The grapes are all destemmed, crushed and the juice left to macerate on the skins for up to 12 hours to add flavour and complexity to the wine. The wine is then fermented at low temperatures to keep the purity of the fruit.
A fresh and fragrant blend. There are aromas of citrus, lime-tree and white flower aromas, with lively acidity. a great aperitif of for pairing with fish and shellfish.
