Drawn from the original 1986 Ulmo plot and the Maraccoli plot (which also produces the estate’s excellent Syrah), this Chardonnay is arguably the wine that kickstarted Sicily’s reputation for quality international varieties. Vines are planted densely between 250 and 415 metres above sea level. Post-fermentation, the wine spends 11 months in quality French Oak. Packed with flavours and aromas of ripe yellow peach, honey, and toasted hazelnut, balanced by a fresh vein of acidity. Enjoy this with creamy mushrooms, herb-crusted fish, or mature soft cheeses.
