Hosmer Winery sits on the western shore of Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes region of New York. It was established in the 1930's and is comprised of the nearly 70 acres of vineyard. The grapes grown here include Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Lemberger, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc, among several other natives and hybrids.
Red raspberry, angelica, and black raspberry are on the nose, leading to strawberry and fennel on the palate. The finish is lightly chewy, bringing to mind fresh basil leaves and mulberries.
