"Currant, flower and orange-blossom aromas follow through to a full body with fine, creamy tannins and a long, persistent finish. Shows finesse and precision. Cherry and orange-peel notes at the end. The flavors go on and on."
97 Points - James Suckling

"The flagship wine from Tenuta Sette Ponti is the 2018 Oreno, a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. This is a dark, concentrated and full-bodied expression that exudes black fruit and blackberry with spicy tobacco and savory spice. Despite the Bordeaux blend in its DNA, the wine is fully Tuscan in character and spirit, with the softness and fullness that comes from fruit cultivated under the golden sunshine of Central Italy."
94 Points - Robert Parker

"scents of black prunes blend admirably with notes of walnut husk, chinotto, black tea, wild strawberries, concentrated tomato purèe and burnt sage. In the background the sensory tension shows itself alternating between bay, cipria and black pepper. Slightly pyrazine, framing the shyly herbaceous elegant picture of a fresh, mediterranean vintage in Tuscany. Full bodied, incredibly silky tannins which caress the palate and an extremely captivating finale to the sweet, progressive closure. A blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot. Delicious immediately but will give itself to the full to those who know how to wait."
99 Points - Raffaele Vecchione

Tenuta Sette Ponti is the vision of one man, Dr. Antonio Moretti, who after taking over the estate from his father in the late 1990’s decided to produce estate-bottled wines. Recognising the estates exceptional terroir, Dr. Moretti, alongside celebrated winemaker Giuseppe Ca Viola, has transformed Sette Ponti into one of Tuscany’s most celebrated estates. Recent accolades include Gambero Rosso’s Winery of the Year in 2015, multiple 99 point scores and numerous “Top 10 Wines in the World” by various publications, from around the world. The estate itself, extending over 330 hectares in Valdarno, in the heart of Tuscany, covers an area at the foot of the mountain where the vineyards can be found. Vines occupy 50 hectares, ranging in altitude from 200 to 300 metres, with the oldest vines (mostly Sangiovese) date back to 1935. The soil is a classic Tuscan mix of sand, clay, limestone and schist-based galestro.

Oreno, which takes its name from the river that crosses the estate and the hamlet where the Farmhouse is found, is the estate’s flagship wine. The blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot gives good structure and elegance, and expresses best the potential of the territory and the Moretti Cuseri family’s idea of wine. Its incredible complexity and fullness are clear from the first wafts of the bouquet. Ripe red fruit notes are elegantly married with toasty coffee notes. Its elegant tannins and rich, powerful structure make for a sublime wine whose very long finish one can luxuriate in.
