Château Larroque, situated in the southern tip of Bordeaux's left bank where it produces a Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon blend characterised by dark fruit, a hint of cedar, and supple tannins.A year in oak enhances its depth and texture, with soft cassis and black cherry aromas with are more complex palate where you will discover ripe black fruit, fine tannins, and a polished structure.
The producer, Vignobles Ducourt, based in Ladaux, has expanded significantly since the 1950s, and now encompasses 14 châteaux covering 450 hectares and vineyards follow the agriculture raisonnée system, minimizing artificial pesticides.
This superb Château Larroque pairs well with dishes like slow-cooked lamb shoulder or bouef en daube.
