The beautiful rolling hills of Tuscany have a long history of being fruitful for winemaking – the area’s winemaking story goes all the way back to Roman times, with Florence becoming a major centre for wine-related activities during the Renaissance. These days, the region is one of Italy’s most prolific, as well as being the source of some top-quality names such as Chianti.
Sangiovese is by far the most popular grape in Tuscany, but the area also produces a number of styles including international grapes (such as chardonnay and merlot) and native varieties (notably trebbiano and ciliegiolo). Both familiar and less common styles feature in the Vineking’s range of Tuscany wines, all picked by our wine experts.
