La Colombette, an estate that has been in the same family for four generations, is located just outside Béziers, looking out over the Mediterranean Sea. Vincent Pugibet and his father François have been key figures in the renaissance of the Languedoc vineyards.
Over the past 30 years, they have been recognised both for their innovations and the excellent quality of their wines. In 1995, La Colombette won the title of Best Chardonnay in the World. Later, in 2009, the estate’s La Plume low-alcohol range – born out of 10 years of research on alcohol production – also won plaudits. Today, lead winemaker Vincent Pugibet is working towards pesticide-free viticulture by focusing on the development of new resistant grape varieties.
