In the Blaauwklippen Valley, in the east of the Stellenbosch area, sits an area known as the Golden Triangle – a location where climate, soil type and elevation combine to create near-perfect wine-growing conditions.
It’s here that the family-owned Dornier winery is located, making the most of this incredible terroir to produce top-quality wines that are true expressions of the grape varieties grown here. Complex and elegant flavours are the markers of wines produced here, with the winery paying homage to traditions as well as adopting modern practices.
The grapes used by the winery are grown on four farms around the Upper Blaauwklippen Valley, including Stellenrust – notable for being one of the first wine cellars ever built in Stellenbosch back in the 17th century.
