English Wine by Tynt Meadow

Until recently, the UK was a country that mainly focused on drinking wine rather than producing it – it was the fifth-highest consumer of wine in 2021, according to the International Organisation of Vine & Wine. A few pioneering producers started setting up vineyards in the latter half of the 20th century, but for most of the world the country was deemed too cold and wet for wine production.

Fast-forward into the 21st century and English wine is thriving – particularly its sparkling wine, grown on land with a very similar make-up to the Champagne region. Sparkling wines form the backbone of the Vineking’s collection of English wines but there’s also space for hand-picked reds and whites for the table.
