Bodegas Granbazán is surely one of the most beautiful châteaux in Galicia, with a stunning neoclassical building at its heart adorned with oriental-style blue tiles. It oversees an estate full of old Albariño vineyards in the Salnés Valley, part of the Rías Baixas region.

The estate, founded in 1981, includes 14 hectares of vineyards along with an additional three hectares in Covas del Lobos. When it was established, the ambition was to craft wines that would make the most of the microclimate of the Salnés Valley, setting up a ‘parra’ system of vine training that favours rainy areas such as this.

At the forefront of the Galician agroindustrial revolution when it was founded, the estate still dedicates itself to ongoing research and development in viticulture and oenology, always striving to produce the best possible results.

The result is a wine that characterises the Salnés Valley, using 100% albariño grapes and carefully drawing out the individual potential of each micro-plot with a minimal-intervention viticulture approach.
