2015 Chateau de Chamirey Mercurey Blanc £220.00 case of 12 Château de Chamirey, the leading estate in Mercurey, is owned by the Devillard family. It comprises 37 hectares of vines, much of which is premier cru. The Devillards regularly declassify as much as 30% of the production from premier cru to village wine, a fact that explains the consistently high quality of the wines. Vinified 40% in 400 litre oak barrels and 60% in stainless steel vats, this has a winning combination of fresh, ripe, honeyed fruit and soft, generous texture. Drink 2017-2019.
