NV White Wit V4

Smokkelman is a collaboration between Solitary Wines and Sonn & Co made on the Karibib wine farm in the Polkadraai Hill just outside Stellenbosch.

Crafted from carefully selected batches harvested across the Western Cape, this blend features Stellenbosch Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin from Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Swartland and Chardonnay from Stellenbosch. Vineyards are all hand-picked, gently pressed, and undergo wild fermentation in diverse vessels adding complexity. Thirty percent of the blend is aged in old French Oak barrels on the lees for a period of seven months adding a depth and complexity to the finished wine.

Tasting notes: Notes of pear, quince, and apple take centre stage on the nose, accompanied by subtle undertones of Fynebos-esque white flowers. The palate offers a luxuriously textured experience showcasing lychee flavours and other white fruits that transition into a herbal and spicy finish.
