Feb 26 Wine Club - Mt Etna & Libera Terra

1 currently in stock

Mount Etna, Europe's highest active volcano, was listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2013 and sits on Sicily’s eastern edge, but culturally and viticulturally it looms over the whole island.  Despite growing vines for millenia, the renaissance of Etna’s wine industry began 25 years ago when Tuscan wine family Cuseri, (owner’s of Tenuta Sette Ponti) bought vineyards on the Northern slopes of Etna.

Jancis Robinson MW wrote an article in 2008 called “Etna – the Burgundy of the Mediterranean” and the wines have continued to thrill.

To provide a contrast to these 4 Mount Etna wines, we have included 2 wines from the other side of the island. Grown at similar altitude but located near the village of Corleone, in a region called Libera Terra, where land was liberated from the Mafia. I thoroughly recommend this February case to you to enjoy.
