Domaine Gayda was built in 1749 as a Staging Post for travellers where horses were refreshed and changed. In 2004, current owners Tim Ford and Anthony Record joined forces with winemaker Vincent Chansault, creating the modern face of wine from the region. In the largest wine region of the world, Domaine Gayda strives to create wine with provenance and a sense of “being” that is a true reflection of the quality and diversity of the Languedoc Roussillon.
Domaine Gayda's 'Collection' range champion the varietal wines and the magnificent diversity of “terroirs” present throughout the Languedoc. This 100% Viognier is aged for 6 months on its lees to add richness and texture to the wine. It is pale lemon gold with an explosive nose. Lovely flavours of apricot, peach and acacia blossom give way to an elegance and freshness balancing perfectly the richness of the grape.
