The Dancing Dragontail is a small understated butterfly native to the Cardamom Mountains of Cambodia, the inspiration for Dancing Dragontail Summer Gin. They chose a light fresh juniper from Kossovo as the base with a kick of aromatic green cardamom and uplifting citrus notes from pink grapefruit. The use of some unusual roots adds complexity and gives the gin a sweet, warm mouth feel.
The Dancing Dragontail is on another level (and price!). Rocking in at 48% means this gin has more depth of flavour, more intensity. It is much richer and more complex, hence it requires a different level of tonic too. It's not for the faint-hearted and rewards the more adventurous palate. Maybe this one isn't such a crowd pleaser compared to Silent Pool but it has another level of interest, so all true gin fans will find this a joy.
And this is also why we make all our gins in conjunction with Kate at The Gin Kitchen.
