2024 Les Chiens Rouge
Made from a blend of Carignan, Caladoc and Marselan or Grenache Noir. Bright red with cherry and plum-coloured highlights. Velvety flavours of blackcurrant and spice and a hint of liquorice.
2023 Gayda T'Air d'Oc Syrah
An intense and generous colour with black cherry and violet highlights, an immediate eye-catcher. The fresh, spicy nose is typical of a fine Syrah, with aromas of black pepper, blackcurrant and blackberry. The freshness of the blackberries reveals an invigorating acidity, while subtle touches of fresh liquorice round off the bouquet. On the palate, the wine is extremely smooth, with mellow tannins that envelop the palate. The attack, marked by the richness of blackcurrant, develops into a generous structure, with flavours of black fruit and cocoa. The fresh, lingering finish.
2024 Gayda Flying Solo Rouge Grenache Syrah
From Minervois (Limestone plateaus) with traditional vinification for the Grenache - Short maceration at low temperature for the Syrah.
Tasting note: A deep, intense purple colour that catches the eye at first sight. The nose reveals a basket of ripe fruit: red plum, blackberry, blackcurrant jam, with a touch of freshness provided by redcurrant and liquorice notes of cachou. On the palate, a generous explosion of red fruit softens the mellow but still structured tannins, giving the wine depth and persistence. The finish is prolonged by aromas of liquorice and pink pepper.
2022 Domaine la Sarabande Pig Wine Red
This is a complex blend of three different Syrah vineyards and a single plot of Mourvédre. The grapes are all organically grown and the hand picked when we believe the flavours and acidity is in equilibrium. Fermentation was done in small one tonne open fermenters. Here we see a wine with darker fruits at the core and more structural tannin, savouriness and dried herb spices.
2022 Gayda En Passant Rouge
This limited edition range is designed as an ode to Domaine Gayda’s spirit of creativity and inventiveness. The En Passant Rouge is a blend of 80% Syrah, 20% Carignan. There are notes of fruit, cherry and raspberry, with a scent of garrigue. A creamy mouthfeel with silky tannins and notes of black fruits and spices, ending with a tangy finish and a good length.
