Rocco Pasetti’s ideally sited estate lies in the heart of the Collecorvino district in the hills northwest of Pescara. This is undoubtedly one of the best viticultural areas in Abruzzo between the Gran Sasso mountain (highest peak in the Apennines) and the Adriatic Sea, the vineyards are planted on clay and limestone soils at moderate elevations. Rocco is one of Abruzzo’s winemaking pioneers, and his wines are amongst the best in the region.
100% Pecorino. Grapes are pressed and macerated on skins for approximately 8 hours at a low temperature. Aged 6 months in bottle before release.
Tasting note: Straw yellow in colour. Intense with floral notes of hawthorn and orange blossoms & accents of sage and thyme. Soft and fresh on the palate, a balanced wine with an excellent body and quality.
