A dry, biodynamic Riesling from the Rheinhessen region of Germany, noted for its peachy aroma and mineral-driven, creamy, and fresh profile. . The winery has been organic since 2009 and biodynamic since 2012 is run by husband and wife team Carolin and Erik - the fourth generation to tend to the now 18 hectares of predominantly Riesling and Pinot Noir. As well as making an array of classic Trocken and Kabinett Rieslings, they are also lucky enough to have holdings in the Grand Cru sites of Scharlachberg, Kirchberg, Osterberg and Rosengarten.
Tasting note: Flavours of white peach, citrus, and stone. On the nose there is there is an immediate peachy profile. The faintest hint of classic kerosene and lime notes are in the mix too. This wine is bright and fresh but has a lovely creamy texture too.
Food match: Paired with seafood, light meats, or spicy Asian dishes.
