Domain De Maison Blanche winery and the estate is one of the most beautifully located wineries in the Vaud wine region. Perched on a hill overlooking Lake Geneva, Maison Blanche was built in the 13th century and today covers ten hectares of land. This winery is a family-run business that focusses on producing excellent wines without the use of any chemicals and in perfect harmony with nature. Vaud’s climate is heavily dictated by the waters of Lake Geneva, which alleviate the spring frosts and reduce the summertime highs to around 30°C. Soil Characteristics: Moraine with varied soil compositions: clay, chalk, and all types of minerals.
This delicious white is made with 100% Chasselas from a Grand Cru Vineyard. Made by master winemaker Yves de Mestral and his son Antoine who are members of the Swiss Association of independent wine producers.
Tasting note: A sensational Chasselas, worthy of it’s Grand Cru status, with a lovely balance of the creamy, fruity, floral, and mineral palate. On the palate, complex orchard fruit notes combine with a delightful mineral finish.
