As a young winegrower, Rémi Desmaris took over the 5 hectares of vines on the Domaine Aime Blouzard estate from his grandfather in 2016. Today, the estate has 9.5 hectares, growing Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Gamay. They are in the process on converting to organic processes.
The Domaine Aime Blouzard Macon-Peronne is made from three plots: the first planted in the 1990s, the other two are much older, with one plot planted in 1935. The wine is vinified using native yeasts and aged for 8 months in both stainless steel and concrete tanks.
The wine is floral and fresh on the nose. The palate is round, with crunchy fruit flavours and fresh citrus notes leading in to a long, refreshing mineral finish.
