This year marks the 25th anniversary of Viña Cobos, a winery founded by Paul Hobbs in 1988. This proved to be a milestone in contemporary viticulture for Argentina, defying quality and setting a new benchmark, placing Malbec and Argentina together with the greatest world-class producers.
Zingaretti is a traditional Argentine vineyard; densely planted with Malbec vines of over 80 years old. The silty-sand soils are situated on a steep west-east slope. Night-time temperatures are very low, leading to a wide diurnal temperature range. Aged for 18 months in a combination of new, second and third use French oak barrels. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
