The High Road is a boutique negociant producer who are benefiting from working with Miles Mossop as a consulting winemaker. They source their grapes from carefully selected trellised vineyards, from prime spots across Stellenbosch.
This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. They were matured separately in 225 litre French oak barriques for about a year. Blending has ensured the balance of fruit, structure and age ability.
Expect notes of juicy plum, with cassis and black fruit. Smooth and supple on the palate, with spice and vanilla on the finish.
Tasting Note : Ripe and rich with juicy plum and cassis meld into a savoury, spicy mouthful of rounded fruit and gentle vanilla oak. The palate is smooth with supple tannins and a spicy plum finish. Harmonious and balanced. A true pleasure to drink.
