The Vina Dorana Rioja Reserva is a classic blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha (60:40), also sourced from high-altitude old bush vines, but this time sitting on a portion of ferrous clay soil. This soil type is best known for producing wines of great structure and high tannins. The grapes are hand-harvested and hand-sorted, with only the very best of the crop making it to the press. The wine is aged for 2 years in French oak and then a further year in bottle prior to release. Packed with pronounced black cherry, cedar and spice aromas. The palate is rich and supple with layers of dark plum, bramble fruit and cherry, supported by well-structured tannins.Classic toasty notes of vanilla combine with black pepper and dried fruit to make this a wine you won’t soon forget. Pair with hearty vegetable stews, perfect for enjoying autumnal evenings by the fire.
