Cinsault Western Cape

Western Cape is the largest of South Africa’s wine regions, with influences of both the coast and the mountains that make up its geography. Vineyards were first planted here in the 17th century, before being almost wiped out by an outbreak of phylloxera in the late 19th century.

The mid-20th century saw a real renaissance for this area, which is now a world leader in wine tourism as well as a producer of excellent wines without too much of a high price tag.
