Michel Redde et Fils from Loire

Located in Pouilly Fumé · France

Michel Redde et Fils is a well-respected Loire Valley producer that can trace its roots back to 1630, when François Redde was first documented growing vines in Pouilly-sur-Loire. Current managers Thierry Redde and his sons are the 13th and 14th generations of the family to work on the estate, La Moynerie, which covers some 85 acres of the region’s finest terroir.

Michel Redde has built up a reputation as one of the top few producers in the Pouilly and Sancerre regions. It’s a reputation that has been building solidly since the early 1950s, when Michel inherited the family’s 15 acres after his father’s death. Over the following decade he rebuilt the property and expanded its size to the 85 acres it covers today.

In 1977 Michel was joined by his son Thierry as he too decided to make winemaking his career.
