Brothers Didier and Denis Berthollier are the current managers of the family estate, which was previously overseen by the generations going back to their great-grandfather.
The estate manages 11 hectares of vines on sloping land in three areas, growing well-known grapes such as chardonnay and pinot noir alongside more unusual varieties including altesse and roussanne. Wines are produced without sulphur, with just a small amount added at the bottling stage.
Having started the process of cultivating ‘living soils’ in 2011, the estate has been converting to a fully certified organic process since 2017 and is also introducing biodynamic methods to ensure the sustainability of the land for future generations.
