Wow. You would not believe how much wine we have waiting for you this weekend. Erik has been busy putting together an amazing selection of wines to take us through the next couple of months. I hope the shop floor will survive the strain.
First up we have the fabulous wines from Chateau Belles Eaux in the Languedoc. Once my wife had decided we were having some hearty sirloin from the Blue Cow next door then for me it was a no brainer to pair it with this new arrival. 2012 Chateau Belles Eaux, Languedoc. The wine is a nod to Chateauneuf du Pape with its blend of Syrah Grenache and Mourvedre grown on well drained vineyards overlooking the Chateau near Pezenas in the South of France. Deliciously powerful but elegant with hints of spicy damson fruit, chocolate and coffee.

I cannot tell you how excited I am about the white wine on tasting this weekend. First sampled a couple of months ago, the appeal was immediate - Smart bottle smart wine!.. 2015 Chateau Saint-Roch Limoux
This is best described as a baby Meursault. Yes it is that good. Toasted bready notes lead on the nose, intertwined with fruits such as peach and pineapple and a touch of vanilla. The palate reveals a wine with good texture, refined elegance and minerality. A broad and flavoursome wine with real Burgundian character at a remarkable price
