2012 Holden Manz, Merlot
The Holden Manz wine estate is located above the Franschhoek valley overlooked by magnificent mountains which stand guard over the beautiful valley below.
Situated between the Franschhoek & Stony Brook rivers, this 22 hectare wine estate, with its fertile and dark loam soils produces state of the art wines.
The 2012 Merlot gives sweet ripe fruits, blackberries and red berries on entry that support the overall palate of fruit and balanced acidity. All this combines into depth on the mouth and an appreciation of this super smooth elegant wine.
The fruit tannins are ripe, rich and full offering a satisfying width to the mid-palate. The wine ends with a long finish of sweet fruit.
2014 Moederkerk Chardonnay, Stellenbosch
There are aromas of fresh citrus, lime and hints of lemon zest, with elegant pineapple notes that support the initial tropical impression
A deliciously balanced Stellenbosch Chardonnay with a great follow through of citrus and pineapple from the nose. There are undertones of guava and paw-paw which add to the creamy style of the wine. This wine is a great, complex wine with a good balance between fresh acidity and creamy roundness, and an amazingly elegant finish.
