3 Stunners from The Spanish Parcel that are all £14.99 but you can mix a dozen for £120 - that's £10/bt!
2005 Blanc dels Aspres, Emporda, Spain £14.99
Not for the feint hearted, this delicious, oxidised white is made 100% from White Grenache, then barrell fermented in French Allier Oak. With notes of a fino on the nose, the stunning nutty, brackish fruit unfurls on the palate with an excellent lifted acidity. This would be sensationall with roasted monkfisk tail and a beurre noisette - but either way, you have to taste it!
2004 Dido, Montsant, Spain £14.99
Made from garnacha that hails from vineyards ranging from 60-90 years on Montsant's beautiful schist and slate terrasses. The 12 years maturity have been very kind, polishing this off to a really delicious, supple, elegant red, with soft leathery, dark fruited notes, that would be great with a leg of lamb.
2004 Puertas Novas, Toro £14.99
Made from 100% tempranillo, just like Riojas or Ribera del Dueros, this long polished beauty is also delightfully mature but with graceful dark fruits, finishing with a long sweet, yet bitter chocolate note. A serious glass of wine.....for a tenner???
