This is the classic blend from Margaret River -it is pale green in colour, with classic aromas of succulent Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. It has delicate floral aromas and a hint of fresh herbs, The palate is flinty and dry, with an explosive first impact of passionfruit, lime and lemon zest, followed by a creamy middle palate with a fine and lengthy finish.
2015 Originale Rosso Neropasso Mabis £12.99p/b or or two for £23
With all this rain around we've been seduced away from whites and decided to show off an excpetionally good value lucious red from the Veneto. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Corvina this wine is. Intense ruby red with a bouquet of spice with hints of cherry, black cherry and plum compote. It has a fine and velvety palate, full of lucious fruit that is persistent and then with soft tannins at the end.
Due to meticulous work in the vineyard to ensure even ripening, whole bunches are harvested by hand at optimum ripeness and then they undergo strict selection to ensure they are 'thin' enough (air between the grapes within the bunch) to allow a steady drying process before crushing and fermentation. This gentle process gives the wine wonderful concentration and complexity.
And....if we're feeling really generous we might open a cheeky Greek treat!
