This week, maturity versus youth.

2007 Eitelsbacher Karthäuserhofberg Riesling Kabinett, Mosel, Germany
£18.99 per bottle
£95 for 6 (£15.83pb)
£180 for 12 (£15.00pb)

From a south-facing single vineyard that overlooks the Carthusian monastery which gives it its name, this a fully mature off-dry Kabinett (2007 was a really good vintage). Karthäuserhof is now one of Germany's most respected estates and the wine is fermented in steel to bring out the clean and minerally style for which Christoph Tyrell is known. Elegant, stylish and balanced with intense fruitiness.
2015 Jean Colin Pinot Noir, Loire, France
£11.99 per bottle
£60 for 6 (£10.00pb)
£110 for 12 (£9.17pb)

An old favourite returns - this is a refreshing, light red from a biodynamic producer near Sancerre. Vibrant red-fruit flavours are balanced by fine tannins and fresh acidity. It can be served slightly chilled to show off that freshness.
