2015 Riesling Trocken A Christmann, Pfalz, Germany

£18.99 per bottle

£95 for 6 (£15.83pb)
£180 for 12 (£15.00pb)

Nowadays the Pfalz is arguably the most dynamic wine-growing area in Germany - being the driest and sunniest part of the country helps. The wonderful wines of A Christmann typify this dynamism. A family-owned (7 generations and counting), biodynamic winery, they produce archetypal examples across a range of styles. This dry Riesling shows an enticing fruitiness balanced by crisp acidity backed up by an elegant minerality.
2013 Reyneke Organic Syrah Stellenbosch South Africa
£19.99 per bottle
Loyalty 6 £16.99
Loyalty 12 £15.99

The intention here is to interfere as little as possible, to allow nature to be the real maker of the wine and to truly produce terroir-specific wines of the highest quality’. This is how the owner Johan dscribes his ethos for making his wines.  With the winemaker from Boekenhoutskloof and the vineyard manager from Gaston Huet in Vouvray as a consultant this wine has impressive pedigree.  Underpriced in my mind as the wine is so well focussed with red and black fruits ripe tannins and masses of complexity.
